What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form on our website, submit a form inside one of our Google ads, call, text or email us, we may collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your project address
- A description of your project and any photos or files you send
- How you heard about us
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and Google collect:
- Pages you view, how you arrived (for example a Google search or ad), and the date and time
- Device and browser type, and approximate location based on your IP address
- An ad click identifier if you arrived by clicking one of our Google ads (see “Cookies, analytics and advertising” below)
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18, and we do not ask for payment card or banking details through our website.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Respond to your inquiry and arrange an estimate or consultation
- Plan, quote, schedule, complete and invoice your renovation
- Keep records we need for warranty, tax and legal purposes
- Understand which ads and pages bring us customers, so we spend our advertising budget well
We do not sell your personal information. We do not add you to a newsletter or marketing list unless you ask us to.
Consent. By submitting a form, calling or emailing us, you agree to us using your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, subject to legal or contract requirements. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to provide an estimate or complete your project.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar browser storage to measure visits and advertising results.
- Google Analytics shows us how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and where visits come from. Google receives this data.
- Microsoft Clarity records how visitors move through our pages, such as clicks, scrolling and where people leave a form, so we can find and fix parts of the site that are hard to use. Clarity masks what you type into form fields. Microsoft receives this data.
- Google Ads tells us when someone who clicked one of our ads contacts us. If you arrive from one of our ads, your browser stores the ad click identifier for up to 90 days. That identifier is sent with any form you submit, so we know the inquiry came from an ad.
- Enhanced conversions. If you accepted cookies and then submit a form, the email address and phone number you entered are converted into a scrambled code (hashed) in your browser before being sent to Google. Google uses that code only to match the inquiry to an ad click and report results to us. We may also send Google hashed contact details of people who contact us, book an estimate or sign a project, so we can measure which ads lead to real jobs.
- Google lead forms. If you submit a form inside one of our Google ads, Google passes the details you entered to us, and Google’s own privacy policy also applies.
When you first visit our website, you can accept or decline cookies, and you can change your choice anytime using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page. If you decline, Google Analytics and Google Ads still receive basic signals that do not use cookies or identify you, such as a page view or a completed form, so we can estimate how many inquiries our ads bring in. Microsoft Clarity only runs if you accept.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can control ad personalization at myadcenter.google.com. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Microsoft explains how Clarity handles data at privacy.microsoft.com. Google explains how it uses data from sites like ours at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Service providers and storage outside Canada
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only for the purposes listed:
| Provider | What it does for us | Where data may be stored |
|---|---|---|
| JobTread | Our customer and project management system; receives website form submissions | United States |
| Google (Analytics, Ads) | Website measurement, advertising results, lead forms | United States and other countries |
| Microsoft (Clarity) | Website usage recordings to improve the site | United States |
| SiteGround | Hosts our website | United States |

When information is stored or handled outside Canada, the laws of that country apply and authorities there may be able to access it. Questions about how these providers handle your information can go to our privacy contact listed above.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to 2 years, then deleted. Records for completed projects are kept for 7 years for warranty, tax and legal purposes. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting on our account.
How we protect it
We limit access to staff and service providers who need it, use password-protected accounts, and choose providers with recognized security practices. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta as PIPA requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent. Contact our privacy contact above and we will respond within 45 days, as PIPA requires. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

We may update this policy when our practices change. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated.
